 5:Terms and Conditions for clearance work

 NJ Garden Services is committed to providing the best possible garden clearance experience for our customers however please note the following points.

•  While we endeavour to proceed and complete the work on the given dates circumstances beyond our control sometimes cause short delays. No compensation for reasonable minor delays will be offered unless agreed on booking.
• If access through or from a neighbouring property is required to carry out specific tasks, permission must be sought from the property owner or tenant before commencement of work.
• Invoices must be settled within 7 days of receipt. Interest of 1% per day may be charged to invoices outstanding over this time. If we are clearing your garden whilst you are residing overseas payments must be made in advance.
• NJ Garden Services sometimes uses images or customers names to promote business on the internet or other mediums. If you object to this then please let us know.

• Loud machinery is sometimes used to carry out clearance work. Please inform us in advance if there is a time when this will cause you problems.  These machines can also create dust and smoke. Please keep your windows shut whilst clearance work is been carried out.

• Sometime our operatives will be using controlled chemicals to kill weeds or promote growth. These are generally considered non toxic but should you be concerned or request more information then speak to your operative or contact our office so we can provide you with details.

• No waste or rubbish other than the material produced as a result of our work will be removed unless agreed otherwise. Only the rubbish that is present on site at the time of inspection is included for removal in the quotation.

• Unless specified in the quotation no allowance has been made to repair damage caused as a result of growth that has become fused with garden features.

• When removing ivy or other invading plant that has grown into the facia, soffits, roof or any other structural part of a building, NJ Garden Services will bear no responsibility to any structural damage caused by either the plant or its removal. We do promise however to remove invading plants as carefully as possible so as to minimise damage.
• Please ensure that access to the site is available on the scheduled date. An inaccessible site may cause delays and extra costs.
• If access through your property is required it is the customers’ responsibility to ensure that adequate protection is installed and breakable items are removed from the access path. After completion some clearance residue may be left on access carpets and floors
• Removal and disposal of unexpected toxic waste is not included in the quotation.
• No allowance has been made in the quotation for the removal of large quantities of hidden earth or other heavy rubbish that was not disclosed during the initial site assessment.

• NJ Garden Services will not be held liable for accidental severing of cables or other buried infrastructure that we have not been made aware of.

• Please ensure that any items that are not to be removed are clearly marked or pointed out to the visiting operatives. 
• After a clearance operation weed and growth recovery will commence almost immediately, especially in the warm seasons. We recommend that you engage in an immediate maintenance program to minimize future expense. 
• Occasionally stones and other debris that is hidden amongst overgrown grass can be catapulted by machinery and may cause damage such as breaking a window. Where the risk is high we will endeavour to install protection across windows and high value items however no allowance is generally made in the price for unexpected repairs. NJ Garden Services will make every effort to preserve property but will not bare responsibility for unseen items hidden in long grass that causes damage to property, just as we would not expect you to pay for the damage to our equipment when we strike items in the grass. We can however offer an insurance policy and a risk value to the quotation. Other high value items will need to be assessed with each job.
