Terms and Conditions for clearance work

NJ Garden Services is committed to providing the best possible gutter clearance experience for our customers however please note the following points.

•  While we endeavour to proceed and complete the work on the given dates circumstances beyond our control sometimes cause short delays. No compensation for reasonable minor delays will be offered unless agreed on booking.

• If access through or from a neighbouring property is required to carry out the cleaning, or if we need to utilise a neighbours building or infrastructure to reach difficult areas, permission must be sought from the property owner or tenant before commencement of work.

• Invoices must be settled within 7 days of receipt. Interest of 1% per day may be charged to invoices outstanding over this time. If we are clearing your gutters whilst you are residing overseas payments must be made in advance.

• No waste or rubbish other than the material produced as a result of our work will be removed unless agreed otherwise. Only the rubbish that is removed from the gutter system is included for removal in the quotation.

• Unless specified in the quotation no allowance has been made to repair damage caused as a result of growth that has become fused with or twisted around the guttering.

• Sometimes downpipes are so blocked they need to be removed from the section to be cleaned out so as not to knock the blockage further down into the system. In some cases the plastic is old and perished and can disintegrate whilst being removed. No allowance has been made to replace guttering that is broken during cleaning as a result of it being old and perished and not strong enough to be cleaned.

• If you have had an estimation made over the phone then any unusual access points that require special equipment may not be included in the price. It is the customers’ duty when receiving estimation by phone to make us aware of areas that cannot be reached by the use of an ordinary tall ladder.

• Please ensure that access to the site is available on the scheduled date. An inaccessible site may cause delays and extra costs.

• Please ensure that you have not mistaken the concept of cleaning out the gutters for cleaning the gutters. If you wish for the gutters to be cleaned, which involves totally scrubbing all visible areas as well as clearing the channels and downpipes out, please be specific when placing an order or requesting a quotation.
