Terms and Conditions for Ivy clearance work
NJ Garden Services is committed to providing the best possible Ivy clearance experience for our customers however please note the following points.
- While we endeavour to proceed and complete the work on the given dates circumstances beyond our control sometimes cause short delays. No compensation for reasonable minor delays will be offered unless agreed on booking.
- If access through or from a neighbouring property is required to carry out specific tasks, permission must be sought from the property owner or tenant before commencement of work.
- Invoices must be settled on completion
- Loud machinery is sometimes used to carry out Ivy clearance work. Please inform us in advance if there is a time when this will cause you problems. These machines can also create dust and smoke. Please keep your windows shut whilst clearance work is been carried out.
- No waste or rubbish other than the material produced as a result of our work will be removed unless agreed otherwise.
- Unless specified in the quotation no allowance has been made to repair damage caused as a result of growth that has become fused with structures.
- When removing ivy or other invading plants that have grown into the facia, soffits, roof or any other structural part of a building, NJ Garden Services will bear no responsibility to any structural damage caused by either the plant or its removal. We do promise however to remove invading plants as carefully as possible so as to minimise damage.
- Please ensure that access to the site is available on the scheduled date. An inaccessible site may cause delays and extra costs. If access through your property is required it is the customers’ responsibility to ensure that adequate protection is installed and breakable items are removed from the access path. After completion some clearance residue may be left on access carpets and floors
- NJ Garden Services will not be held liable for accidental severing of cables or other buried infrastructure. The removal of Ivy can be extremely difficult procedure and it is quite likely that any cables hidden in the Ivy will become severed.
- Sometimes the removal of sections of Ivy will render the structure that it is growing on unsafe. In these cases the Ivy may need to be left to prevent a health and safety risk as a result of the structure collapsing.
- In cases that a quotation has been provided using only pictures sent by email, no guarantee will be made to remove every bit of Ivy. Sometimes pictures are deceptive and do not show the true extent of the infestation or the grip the invading plant has on the structure.
- In cases where an unacceptable risk to life and limb are preventing access the Ivy may have to be left to die without been moved.
- After removal Ivy imprint and residue may be visible on the structure. Cleaning off is not included in the quote.
