Past Projects 2005
Operation Elkington

This old garden has not had any attention for a
while. We are going to give this a serious makeover. After completely tearing out the entire garden we will
totally rebuild using all natural stone products.

With a small sun deck and a formal pond this is now
a stunning show garden.

Operation Bennet

Here we built a decking with a timber shed base incorporated.
The shed was installed and we have a cozy deck area.
Operation Lawford

This garden consisted of a large lawn, an old
shed and a large quantity of herbaceous flowers in a border

We removed the shed and constructed a large
patio area, with an inset circle to sit the shed and patio furniture.
The lower end of the garden we built elongated timber retained borders and
turfed between.
Operation Wylie
This garden was just grass before we blitzed it.
A double decking, patio, pond and a suspended platform for the customer to stand
on so she can have a chat over the fence with the neighbours. Also a double shed
with an undercover alley leading to the back gate.

Operation Hills
This dark
grey Riven paving works really well with the Terracotta time edges.

Operation Beard
By carefully bending timbers
we were able to build swirling retained borders lines. The decking balustrade
leads people to the path so they don't cut across the grass.

(I
think that's a mini trampoline on the grass)
Operation Shannahan Feb/Mar 2005

We are going to construct a large raised patio
all around the rear of this house. First we need to set out the levels and
import hardcore to fill in the low ground. The patio will have a 1 foot drop
down to the lawn so we'll need to retain the drop with a small brick wall.

Operation Woodard Feb 2005

Removing old crazy paving and replacing with a
textured Buff. The raised edge is retained using timber.
Operation Iqbal Feb 2005

Now here is something interesting for us. This enormous Koi pond is in need
of some attention. It is full of expensive fish but the filter system needs
updating and the bridge is so rotten nobody can walk across it. The first job is
to start pumping out the water so the basin can be power washed. One end is so
deep we can pump most of the water out, clean the basin and pump new water in
without upsetting the fish. The bridge is replicated using new timbers.
The existing filters are all working now but a pond this size needs a
professional bio and Ultraviolet filter system. Nick spends the afternoon
researching the market and decides on a 4 cylinder Cloverleaf bio-filter with
double UV tubes. After construction a powerful pump is installed to handle the
15000 gallon pond.

Finally a completely new electrical and lighting system is installed
providing power to 3 pumps, two UV filters, 10 lights on a timer unit and extra
outdoor plugs for a power washer unit to clean the filters out.
Operation Stephenson Jan 2005

By removing the lawn, retaining the edges and replacing with shingles, along
with an acid bath for the patio, this small garden is transformed.
Operation Wilmot

This small job requires Rich to install a sleeper retainer with a step to
separate the decking from the new grass area. The fence line is a little low so
Rich will protect the woodwork with a protective gravel board.
Operation Bamford. Oct 04

This overgrown garden will be torn out and started from scratch. The old hedges
are removed and 25 tons of vegetation and rubbish is scraped together. A new
lawn and trellis fencing is erected.
